I’ll be on the road Thursday morning, making a few stops before I arrive in Orillia to play the Brownstone Cafe at 9pm. They are located at 178 Mississauga Street East. The last time I played the Brownstone, it was brand new, and they were just beginning to look for performers. From the sounds of things, they’ve earned a solid reputation for being a premier venue for live music. I had a good feeling about them.
Next morning (Friday), after a quick visit to the Stephen Leacock House, I’ll be heading up to the Urban Cafe in North Bay, located at 101-B Worthington Street East. Dinner and show begins at 7pm. You might like to know that Jonathan Brown and Ian Bennett are award winning chefs and entrepreneurs, and lucky for me, also devout music fans.
On Saturday, I’ll return to Guelph for my cd release party at Magnolia Cafe, located at 88 Yarmouth Street. ThoughMagnolia has only been open for a few months, it is becoming a popular place in Guelph. Thanks for letting me play, Arvi! I’m also thrilled that Storyteller Brad Woods from the Great Wooden Trio will be the emcee for the evening. Doors open at 7:30 and the show begins at 8.
I expect that I’ll be very tired by the end of the weekend, but I know it will be well worth it. I’m looking forward to getting away but I also look forward to coming home too.
Changes are good.
