Tiger School

Tiger School (2008)

Review:
Tiger School presents some new sounds and instruments yet is distinctly Ian Reid. The mix of styles is really nice moving from a 1920’s sounding Sunday Blue, to jazz in Awfully Fond of You and to an almost TV theme sounding song with Patsy’s Place and a very nice instrumental, Banh Mi Opelet, and his Elvis style song Noreen.

Hot Little Flower

Hot Little Flower (2005)

Review:
This Cd is amazing, it’s pure, beautiful, honest, touching and deep. Think of Tom Waits waking up in the morning and writing poetry, Neil Young writing a song about backpacking or maybe Ron Sexsmith writing postcards to his true love.

Somewhere In Between

Somewhere In Between (2005)

Review:
Listening to this cd made me feel like Ian Reid was singing about my life. “Wish You Well” and “Last Good Year” are absolutely amazing songs. This whole album, in fact, makes you feel, makes you remember the past, and creates a sense of home with both the lyrics and musical accompanyment.
